I think I had a bad bag of root riot plugs or something. 8 beans started and just died! Going back to peat pods.
Probably let them dry out to much or humidity wasn't right. Root riot cubes are peat plugs just like rapid rooters and every other peat plug. How you all always have so much trouble germinating I will never understand. 78-82° 90% humidity, keep them domed until it's time to move them to whatever container you're going to be growing them in.I think I had a bad bag of root riot plugs or something. 8 beans started and just died! I'm not sure, we always dip ours and squeeze them, but if they were a couple years old maybe was just to dry on the inside or something.I never have issues that’s why I’m confused. 1 bean out of 8 made it. The plugs I used were a couple years old. I spray them once or twice every few months with distilled water. I typically never have problems germinating.
I did them in a weak solution of clonex seeding and clone nutrient. Squeezed them out like I always do for clones. I have “never” lost a clone in the root riot plugs.I'm not sure, we always dip ours and squeeze them, but if they were a couple years old maybe was just to dry on the inside or something.
Clones are different than beansI did them in a weak solution of clonex seeding and clone nutrient. Squeezed them out like I always do for clones. I have “never” lost a clone in the root riot plugs.
As long as they aren't the ones with nets around them you'll see no complaints from me lolI guess what I’m saying Mo is, comment should have been structured more like a question than a statement. I’m wondering if anyone else has had a time with getting seeds started in RR Plugs? At this point I think I’m gonna stick with my cheap ass peat plugs from Walmart.
I get the ones with the biodegradable paperAs long as they aren't the ones with nets around them you'll see no complaints from me lol
I never have issues with germination. The beans were several years old I found out.Let the seed sit in a cup of water over night then into a paper towel till you see a tap root...put root in soil/coco cover just slightly
I have had great luck with them.I guess what I’m saying Mo is, comment should have been structured more like a question than a statement.
