Probably let them dry out to much or humidity wasn't right. Root riot cubes are peat plugs just like rapid rooters and every other peat plug. How you all always have so much trouble germinating I will never understand. 78-82° 90% humidity, keep them domed until it's time to move them to whatever container you're going to be growing them in.
I never have issues that’s why I’m confused. 1 bean out of 8 made it. The plugs I used were a couple years old. I spray them once or twice every few months with distilled water. I typically never have problems germinating.

I did them in a weak solution of clonex seeding and clone nutrient. Squeezed them out like I always do for clones. I have “never” lost a clone in the root riot plugs.
